HelpBringing your records in
Bringing your records in
Your customer list from the system you use now, and the rack you already have.
The customer list
- More → Bring in your customer list takes a file out of Protractor, Mitchell 1, Tekmetric, Shopmonkey or anything else that exports: names, phone numbers and cars.
- A .csv or an Excel file (.xlsx or .xlsm) — whichever your system hands you, including a file somebody opened in Excel to check before sending it. The old .xls from before 2007 is the one format it cannot read, and the screen says how to save it as one of the others.
- It shows you which column it thinks is which, with a real value from your file beside it, so a wrong guess is corrected before anything is written.
- It never writes over what you have. Somebody already in the shop gets their blanks filled in and any missing car added.
- No export button anywhere in your system? There is a template to fill in on that screen.
What it does not do
- It does not bring sets in. A customer list does not say what is on your rack.
- The rack is the other screen: Log what’s on the rack. Walk the racks logging what is where, one set at a time, or paste a list you already keep.
- You do not need the tread or the car to log a set. Fill those in later from the set’s own screen.
- Your existing set numbers stay yours. Tell it the range you already use and nothing gets relabelled.
The kind we charge for
- Bringing your own file in is free and is here today. The one that costs is the other kind — a paper book, or a file nothing will export, where we do the typing. That is a Pro feature, coming spring 2027.
Getting your records back out
- Admin → Records → Export, any time, without asking us.
- Sets, history and photographs, as CSV files that open in Excel. It is the whole shop, not a summary.
