Paying for it
What it costs, when that starts, and what happens if you decide against it.
What it costs
- Standard is $39 a month per location, or $390 a year — 10 months’ money for twelve. Plus HST. Unlimited sets, unlimited staff, nothing per set.
- Pro is $59 a month and is not here yet: customer swap reminders, storage-fee invoicing and more than one location in one account, expected spring 2027. Until it ships, Pro is Standard with nothing extra, so there is no reason to take it.
- A second building is a second location. What you charge your own customers for storage is entirely yours — we take no percentage and never see a card number.
When it starts
- Start by February 28, 2027 and you are a founding shop: free until March 31, 2027, no card, nothing to cancel.
- From April 1, 2027 you choose whether to carry on. Nothing starts charging by itself — we have not taken a way to.
- Carry on and the $39 Standard price is held for your shop for as long as the subscription runs without a break. Pro is included in that price when it ships, and that is a founding-shop thing: a shop that starts later pays the $59 Pro price for it.
- A shop that starts after February 28, 2027 gets a 30-day free trial, also without a card.
Opting in, and stopping
- Opting in is a thing you do, not a thing that happens to you. There is no card on file, so there is nothing that can renew by itself.
- Cancelling the monthly is an email and we stop it that day; it runs to the end of the month already paid for. No minimum term, no cancellation fee, no notice period.
If you stop: the two cases
- Which one you are in depends on whether you ever subscribed, and they are genuinely different.
- A founding shop that decides against subscribing goes read-only: every set, every photo and all the history stays there to read and to export, for as long as you want it. Nothing is deleted for not subscribing.
- A subscription you cancel is the other case: your records stay reachable for 30 days so you can export them, and we write to you before that window closes. After that they are deleted, photographs included — or sooner if you ask.
- Read-only means the records are all still there to look at and to export. What stops is putting new sets away and changing what is there.
- Either way the export is the same export as always — Admin → Records → Export, as CSV — and it does not need our permission. It is clause 6 of the agreement, not a policy we can change by the week.
HST and invoices
- Prices are in Canadian dollars and exclude HST, which is added on top at your province’s rate.
- Nothing has been charged to any shop yet, so there is nothing to invoice yet. How to pay is shown before anything is charged, and no shop is billed without opting in first.
