Tire storage software for Toronto shops
Tire storage tracking for independent shops across Toronto, Scarborough, North York and Etobicoke.
Treadstock does one job: put a set of four away in about ninety seconds with a label or a chalk mark, find any set in ten seconds by part of a name, a plate, a phone number or the mark on the tire, and see on a Monday morning who is due back and whose tread will not pass another winter. It runs on the phones your techs already carry, so there is nothing to buy and nothing to install on the office computer.
The changeover in Toronto
Toronto changes over later than Ottawa and all at once. The lake keeps the first freeze off until early November, so the rush compresses into three or four weeks instead of six — the same number of sets through the same number of bays, in less time.
Space is the constraint that shapes everything here. Shops store tires in a basement, on a mezzanine, in a rented unit down the street, or at a yard in the next neighbourhood — often more than one of those at once, which is exactly the case a rack-shaped system cannot describe.
What that means for a shop here
The parts of this that exist because of how the job actually goes in Toronto and the inner GTA.
Worth knowing
Storage off-site is normal in Toronto and it is the thing most trackers handle worst. Treadstock has an offsite zone type precisely because "the unit on Geary" is a real place a set lives, and a set there needs to be findable without somebody remembering which shop building it is in.
How it handles it
Street-parked customers come back for their summer set later than anybody else, which leaves sets on the shelf into June. The season board shows who has not come back rather than leaving it to somebody to notice.
And one more thing
A set stored on a mezzanine with no cell signal is still findable: the app works from the phone’s own copy, which is tested rather than claimed (docs/offline-proven.md).
What it costs
One price, published, with no per-set or per-user charge on top of it.
Free until spring
Shops that start by February 28, 2027 use it free through March 31, 2027. No card, and nothing is billed unless you opt in.
Then $39 a month
Or $390 for the year, plus HST, per location. Unlimited sets and unlimited staff. If you stop, your records stay there to read and to export.
Other Ontario cities
The same product; what differs is when the rush lands and what the shops look like.
